EeeVpn Quick Guide

1. EeeVpn System Requirements

OS version
Windows XP 32bit, Windows Vista 32bit, Windows 7 32bit

Skype version
Skype for Windows version 3.8 or above.

2. Install Skype and EeeVpn

Install Skype and EeeVpn on both the client host and the target host.

3. Run EeeVpn on the target host

3.1 If you want to connect Remote Desktop of the target host, please reference to 6 "Connect Remote Desktop" to configure your Windows on the target host properly.

Allow this program to use Skype3.2 Select “Allow this program to use Skype” when asked.

Set incoming security3.3 Set incoming connection security by adding a Skype account to the “Allowed following peers to connect” list.

4. Connect from the client host

4.1 Select “Allow this program to use Skype” when asked.

Connect4.2 Select a Skype account and connect.

5. Create VPN

Create VPN5.1 Select VPN function and select "Create VPN" menu

Select local adpater 5.2 Select a physical adapter on the client host

Select remote adpater5.3 Select a physical adapter on the target host

Add Host5.4 Add a remote host to the VPN.

The "Local Access IP" is the IP address that you can use to access the remote host that has an IP address as "Remote Access IP" in the remote LAN.

6. Connect Remote Desktop

You need to perform the following steps on the target host or the remote hosts in the remote LAN

Set accept Remote Desktop6.1 Set Windows to accept Remote Desktop connections.

6.2 If you want to connect Remote Desktop to the target host where your peer Skype is running, you need to configure the target host as followed:

Create two accounts6.2.1 Create two Windows accounts as Administrator.

Set Fast User Switching6.2.2 Set Windows to support "Use Fast User Switching".

On the client host

Connect Remote Desktop6.2.3 Connect Remote Desktop.

If you are connecting to the host where your peer Skype is running, you need to login the remote desktop using a different user that currently login the remote Windows system.
